Our Challenge

The West End Corridor Consortium’s challenge is to create a workforce that meets the growth needs for the Inland Empire. Our graduates will be equipped with hard and soft skills, industry and academic certifications, interview confidence – and most important - pride in their accomplishments & potential.

Programs

State (California Adult Education Program – CAEP) funding is provided to consortia to support programs in the following areas. Schools may offer other areas of instruction if financed through alternative sources. All participants in CAEP programs must be 18 years of age.

Basic Skills & Adult  Secondary Education

ABE/Diploma/HS Equivalency


Programs in elementary and secondary basic skills, including programs leading to a high school diploma or high school equivalency certificate.

  • ABE:  Adult Basic Education
  • HSD:  High School Diploma
  • HSE:  High School Equivalency  (GED or HiSET)
ESL/Citizenship

Programs for immigrants eligible for educational services in citizenship, English as a second language, and workforce preparation.

K-12 Student Success

K-12 Student Success

Programs for adults, including, but not limited to, older adults, that are primarily designed to develop knowledge and skills to assist elementary and secondary school children to succeed academically in school.

Programs in career technical education that are short term in nature and have high employment potential. This area also may include programs for adults, including, but not limited to, older adults, that are primarily related to entry or reentry into the workforce.

Pre-Apprenticeship

Pre-Apprenticeship

Programs offering pre-apprenticeship training activities conducted in coordination with one or more apprenticeship programs approved by the Division of Apprenticeship Standards for the occupation and geographic area.
